Master Membership is open to businesses actively involved in the textile care industry and providing laundry and/or drycleaning services either directly or indirectly to the public as well as to any business providing support services to the textile care industry such as machinery and equipment suppliers; chemical and detergent suppliers; computer support services; laundering and drycleaning supplies; insurance et al.
Members with subsidiary businesses actively involved in the textile care industry and either providing laundry and/or drycleaning services or providing support services to the textile care industry similar to the Master Member may apply for Affiliate Membership for those businesses.
All Members of the Association are required to pay Annual Dues which are payable at 1st November each year. New members are accepted at any time during the year and will be advised of the appropriate charge at the time. All members are required to abide by the Association’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. For details of the Standards of Practice, contact the Secretariat. Members receive the benefits of a range of services including a regular monthly Newsletter, access to training seminars and occasional social events. All members in good standing will be provided with a membership decal and a Code of Ethics Certificate to display in their premises.
All Members, Master or Affiliate are eligible to enrol through the Association as Members of the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI), which provides access to:
- A range of technical services
- Publications and training videos
- Customer brochures
- Posters and advertising material
- Certification programmes
- Seminars and training courses
- Garment analysis, garment restoration and textile testing
- A bi-monthly Magazine
These services supplement the services provided directly by the Association.
